Chris Smith
For Grandview Heights

Vice-President Chris Smith was elected to Grandview Heights City Council in 2013 and re-elected in 2017 and 2021. He currently serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Planning & Administration Committee and is Council Liaison to the Central Ohio Transit Authority.
Chris is employed as an Administrative Hearing Officer with the Franklin County Child Support Enforcement Agency. Previously, he has held positions as Legal Counsel for the Minority Caucus in the Ohio House of Representatives and as an Assistant Attorney General with the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office. He earned a Juris Doctorate Degree from The Ohio State University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from West Virginia University.
He is a member of the Tri-Village Lions and sits on the Advocacy Board of Prevent Blindness-Ohio.
Chris is a native of Fairmont, West Virginia. He resides with his wife, Gina Mazzei-Smith, and their rescue cats, Lyndon and Ladybird, and rescue dog, Roberto (Beto). Chris is an avid reader, runner and sports fan. You are likely to see Chris putting in the miles on the streets of Grandview Heights.
